Yogyakarta (Week 26)

Wow! This week was pretty great. I'm loving my new companion, Sister Toegono. She just learns super fast and is an all around amazing missionary. She doesn't need a trainer really. Well here's how the week went.
Senin: All the new missionaries made it, Sister Olsen (AHHH!! SO HAPPY TO SEE HER!) and Elder Murphy. We had Family Night as a district which was way fun and neat. I'm super excited to work with everybody here and I just feel like miracles are just waiting to happen! Good things are going to happen in Jogja.
These are a few of my favorite things...chick-fil-a sauce and reeses!
Selasa: Well this was my first official day working with Sister Toegono. Poor thing...I forgot the way to one of the homes we wanted to visit and we ended up getting lost. But it was also a good thing because we contacted someone who wants to hear our message! It was really fun to work with Sister Toegono.

Rabu: Another good day! Because our investigating pool is a little low we did lots of contacting which was good. We're workin' hard and havin' fun!
Kamis: Unfortunately I was sick and couldn't go out a work as much as I would have hoped but it was still a good day for learning. We planned for a good week this up coming week and I am excited.
Jumat: More proselyting! Which was actually really good. I really enjoy just talking to people. The people here in Jogja are so friendly especially when you try to speak a little Javanese. I played chess against one contact and man she killed me. I had no chance. I've gotta work on that "skill".
Sabtu:We Contacted a few referrals from a less active member. One of them is named "Mama Hawk". Is that not a cool name?! She has lots of potential for progression too. Everyone we met with does and it just felt like a really successful day.
Hari Minggu: We rode our bike FAR to meet with a less active family. They gave us the referral of their youngest son and we are excited to start working with him. His name is Alma. We think it'll really help this family out.

I love missionary work! I love being here in Indonesia. I know all missionaries think this but I really feel like this mission is different, unique. I love these people and life is great.
With love and ugly legs (due to many mosquito bites!),
Sister Sperry :)
